Since the Lord is simultaneously everywhere all at the same time, what then are your thoughts on the term, “the Lord is near”? My view is that our awareness of His presence increases, but that His actual proximity to us does not change.
By the way, I believe that it is vitally important to review the passages of Scripture with which we are often the most familiar regularly — like this one from Psalm 145 — to ensure that we have not overlooked anything that the Holy Spirit wishes to bring to our attention. đź’ˇHopefully you are in agreement!
I am in agreement!
I link this verse with James 4.8a, Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.
Put another way, If God seems far away, He’s not the One Who moved.
God provided The Way to a relationship with Him. In order to maintain that right relationship with God, it requires effort and work on our part. God provides all we need; we must use it.

You have no idea how I needed to hear these words today, Kathy (even though I am reading them five days after you penned them!). Thank you for this important reminder.
