Usually, I share quotes on Wednesdays, but this one aligned so naturally with my weekly gratitude post that I felt led to pass it along here.
I had also written – and nearly finalized! – a post related to these words, only to receive a not-so-subtle nudge from the Lord to delete it and let the quote stand on its own. Every time I try comment or offer my own insight on what these words mean, I feel like I’m getting a clear and unmistakeable veto from the Holy Spirit, basically telling me to hush (I have been trying to craft this post for an hour – that is a long time for me).
So I’m going to respond in obedience and keep any further opining to a minimum. What I do feel authorized to say, though, is that these words are incredibly wise, biblical, and can offer us a tremendous source of comfort and steadiness – even in the midst of our most turbulent times. After all, God is Alpha and Omega over the goodย andย the bad, which means that He knows where each one of us is now and has a plan at work – an important truth to remember when our circumstances (and feelings!) seem to be telling us otherwise. Talk about a reason to be thankful!
And that’s apparently all that I’m allowed to say – today, anyway. ๐
Great remainders!

What are these boxes? You can’t count on emojis these days. Best leave a proper comment. ๐

A-ha! Lol. Maybe it’s my phone playing tricks on me. I worked on my laptop earlier when I used them, probably the phone can’t recognise such sophisticated emoji ๐๐๐

๐ I have the same issue when I’m using the email client on my laptop – something gets lots in emoji translation, it seems!

Right back at you, Alethea! And I’m reading your comment on my MacBook (as opposed to on my iPhone), so the first emoji came through as a box! ๐ฎ

Who’d have thought that such a beautiful story could have come as a result of emoji formatting issues? Truly, the Lord works in mysterioius ways, His wonders to perform! ๐

My goodness! This sounds like more confusion than the Lord mixing up the languages at the Tower of Babel! We have to be careful with these emojis now, don’t we? ๐

Thanks, Ryan. And yes, itโs good to know that I am not the only one hearing the Holy Spirit press the โdeleteโ key from on high! Heโs not very subtle about it, is He? ๐โ๏ธ
