This excerpt from 2 Thessalonians 3 is my clear selection for the verse of the week, and once you give it a good look-over, I think you’ll understand why!
Our God is peace, and He promises to make His peace available to His children “at all times and in every way,” according to this passage. I’m sure I’ve mentioned this truth before, but it was a verse that the Holy Spirit brought to my attention quite recently, so I thought I’d share it here.
Think about it: Peace that is available 24/7, and in every circumstance of life? My human mind cannot fully grasp the depth and breadth of this promise from the Lord, but it doesn’t stop me from being grateful for it. The reminder for me – and perhaps you, too? – is to drink deeply from this fount of blessing more regularly than I usually do. ⛲️
Amen! Prince of Peace

I appreciate you so much Sister. It’s been a good week, and I will keep saying that because God wants me to be grateful, in ALL situations. I was talking with HIm about that last week. I wasn’t understanding the whole “why” of this. But maybe it is for me to truly be grateful in ALL situations. So, I am trying to practice, instead of “LORD, help me get through this day, the exhaustion, I can barely think help me” talk into, LORD thank you for helping me get through this day, LORD, thank you for the thoughts I am able to have. If that makes sense :):) Ask God to help me to keep it up 🙂

You have the right attitude, Margaret – giving the Lord praise, glory, and gratitude even in the midst of trials. I don’t get the “why” either, but if I hear you correctly, that is no longer your focus. It’s like the gospel song that declares, “hallelujah anyhow!” Come what may, you are giving God a hallelujah, and your sincere love for Him must deeply gladden His heart. ♥️
