Thank Heavens!

Thank heavens that the Lord is still in charge and has everything under control! That’s why I love this part of the verse so much: “His kingdom rules over all.”

We can break this phrase down in several different ways.

• HIS kingdom rules over all: It’s God’s kingdom – no one else’s.
• His KINGDOM rules over all. We serve a mighty King, and we are His subjects. Even those who do not bow the knee to Him now will do so later (check out the back of the Book if you don’t believe me)! Their lack of belief does nothing to alter the truth that He is the sovereign Lord of the universe.
• His kingdom RULES over all: All dominion and power belong to our God, and there is no one who even comes close to His complete and total authority – not now, not in the past, or in the future. He alone rules – He is peerless.
• His kingdom rules OVER ALL. Yep, God is King over everybody – past, present, and future; rich and poor; young and old; educated and ignorant; Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, Jew, agnostic, athiest, and indifferent; slave or free – I’m sure that you get the idea.

Now…. what were you worried about again? 😉
