Our pastor used these verses as part of his message this evening, and I made a mental note of them for tonight’s Daily Hopeful post. Philippians is such a wonderful book of the Bible! I find that there is quite a bit of hope-filled truth to be found in there.
So today, I am hopeful because God has not only given me the strength and wisdom to press on in my own spiritual journey, but He’s also granted me the endurance needed to finish the “race” that has been set before me. This means that even when I doubt myself and feel like I can’t do something, the Holy Spirit gives me what I need in the moment in order to take the next step (regardless of my feelings). This is a powerful truth. ✝️
This promise holds true for you as well, if you are a follower of Christ. So press on, my friends!
Amen! What a great message this morning. Just what I needed. I want to press on but I want to go Home more than anything else. But not my will but God’s. He will give me the strength to finish the race. God Bless you :):)

I hear you about wanting to go Home, my friend! I believe that this broken world has us all feeling a little Homesick, but as you say, we must continue to press on and complete the race set before us. 🙂
